Updated Wordpress, Result: New Design and Layout, Loss of Recordings
As you might have seen allready, I’ve changed the layout and design of my website. This was due to an update to a more decent wordpress version and the incomaptibility of the old theme.
In combination with this update, as you might have seen too, mostly all of my recordings have been removed from the server by accident. I’ll bring them back up as soon as possible. Please give me some time to compensate, what went wrong during update.
I’ll also try to do some details work on layout and design and experimenting with plugins, as far my ideas will reach. If you’re experiencing anything unexpected, it’s most certainly me playing around.
Youtube Discovery (Piano Trio: Trio Vita)
The Trio Vita
Recently on youtube I’ve encountered a channel called Midwest Young Artists. These channel is presenting young musical talents. They all seam to have great technique and musicality (so watch the channel if you’re interested into this), but three of them apealed my special attraction: The Trio Vita. Especially the communication between the three musicians and the understanding of the musical structure, great sense for melodic lines and polyphonic movements. This is so dazzling what they are able to do at their age.
Unfortunately there are only three recordings avaible at youtube (wich I like to present you here at a glance; don’t forget to visit the youtube channel, too). I’d really like to hear more of them.

Soso, Mädchen sollen sich also die ganze Nacht lang am Computer ausprobieren und damit der besonders wichtige “Fun-Faktor” hoch genug bleibt, müssen Jungs draußen bleiben. Zu meiner Zeit haben Jungs auf LAN-Partys noch Computerspiele und nicht sich selber ausprobiert, Mädchen waren gern gesehene Gäste oder Teilnehmer und man wurde nicht für die Selbstzwecke irgendwelcher Unternehmen missbraucht.

Interesting Statistics or Why Art Thou There
I recently installed the Wordpres StatPress-Plugin. This plugin can give you real-time information about your blog visitors. It also detects web-spiders and search-engine bots automagically, so you can seperate them from regular visitors.
However, the reason for this post was not to promote this plugin, rather than giving you some insight about what StatPress has to say about my blog visitors.
Summarized to an unordert list this leads to
- 72 visits (52 pageviews) on a single day, with as yet actually not any interesting posts
- 57,9% from Germany, 36,8% from US
- 12 unique visitors, so most visits seem to be bots and spiders
- 15 detected spider visits (53% Google Feedfetcher)
- 15 RSS2 suscription (most probably the spiders?)
- 93,1% Linux systems (hurray!)
IE-Bugfixing
I recently fixed some issues in the CSS-files of these pages. In generally i’m using Fedora (linux kernel) as my main operating system, so i normaly don’t have acces to an Internet Explorer installation for testing the page in common browsers. Today i’ve tested the page on InternetExplorer 6 and found some flaws in the page design. This is due to the faulty implementation of the CSS box model in MS Internet Explorer I’ve fixed this and the page is now successfully tested in IE 6, IE 7, Firefox 3.0, Firefox 3.1 and Opera 9.51.
