OSCAR — Open Source Car

Electric vehicle prototype developed by AKASOL Darmstadt e.V.

oscarOSCAR, the Open Source Car, is an electric vehicle prototype developed by students of Darmstadt’s University of Technology at AKASOL (Academic solar technology group) a student organisation. OSCAR is light-weight and solely powered by electrical energy. I’ve joined the team during my early study semesters and am one of it’s core developers meanwhile. Take a look at the official project’s website >>

PCMS – Pseudo Content Management System

PHP Project (discontiued)

archive

Before using wordpress as my website’s content management system, I’ve used my very own content management system. It was called “Pseudo Content Management System” as it was never designed to have the full abilities of standard content management systems and to be used by web-unaware users. It was mainly developed to reduce administrative overhead while developing and maintaining websites.

The basic idea was to have a main php-file as a template for the layout and design (via XHTML and CSS markup) of the website and small easy-editable content snippet files. The structure of the website could be configured via text-based configuration files. The whole aim was to configure the website once and to change and add contents via these content snipped files. It did not use any databases as a matter of restriction, versatility and easy adoption of an existing website. It had no user-backend, multi-user-interface or anything of the sophisticated functions other CMS do offer, but it made my web-administration tasks easier and was fun to develop. However the project is no longer maintained.

It is still used at the AKASOL website and you can see the system at work at akasol.de

Vergleich von Lernverfahren für Netzstrukturen mit radialen Basisfunktionen (Comparision of Machine Learning Methods for Networks with Radial Basis Functions)

Project seminar on mechatronic systems

document

from the abstract:

To compare the speed and the accuracy of the training algorithms of Suport Vector Machines (SVM) and Local Linear Model Trees (LOLIMOT) with the OLS-algorithm for Radial Basis Function Networks (RBF) a RBF-network and a GUI in M ATLAB and a
MEX-interface in C were developed. The thereby designed toolbox provides simple means to compare the performance of the different methods. Testcases were provided by a classification and a regression problem from the field of internal combustion engines.

LibSVM-matlab – A Matlab-interface to the LibSVM-C++-Libarary

Software package for Matlab (no longer maintained)

archiveLibSVM-matlab is an interface for Matlab to the free support vector machine library LibSVM (a neural network toolkit). The C/MEX-software was developed during a project seminar at Darmstadt University of Technology and is licensed under GPL and avaible at Dr.-Ing Michael Vogt’s website at Darmstadt University of Technology.

Entwicklung und Evaluierung der Regelung einer hochdrehenden Asynchronmaschine als Antrieb für batterie-elektrische Straßenfahrzeuge (Implementation and Evaluation of a Control Scheme for a High-Speed Induction Machine as a Battery-Electric Vehicle Drive).

Diploma Thesis

document

The given task of this thesis was to develop a control scheme for an induction machine as a driving solution for an electric vehicle. The developed software has been build in a modular approach. A software-environment has been developed in wich the control scheme has been embedded. Furthermore a limitation of DC-voltage has been implemented to safeguard the batteries. An repetative evaluation at the existing test bench was done. The developed software, the used tools, the simulation model and the evaluation of the developed software is being presented.
